Traffic
A traffic case is any case relating to the Traffic Laws. It includes everything from expired car inspections to a DUI. In otherwords, there is a broad range in the gravity and consequences of acts that are in the category of Traffic Law. For example, common traffic infractions are speeding, improper lane change and failure to yield. These are all infractions, which means that they do not go on a person's criminal record and jail time cannot be imposed. But a traffic docket will also have reckless driving, DUI, driving on a suspended operator's license and hitand run. These are all class one misdemeanors for which jailtime can be imposed. I defend all traffic offenses from expired inspections to the DUI or reckless driving. Contact Me

Juvenile
All criminal cases against a child start in Juvenile Domestic Relations Court. Any person under eighteen is subject to the Juvenile Court. Remember, a juvenile charged with a delinquent act (i.e. a crime) has the same constitutional rights as an adult. So the juvenile can have a trial, make a plea, or cooperate for leniency just like an adult. Than, there are the status offenses like: Truancy, Underage possession of alcohol, Possession of tobacco and Curfew. More importantly, a juvenile accused of a delinquent act can be tried as an adult if he is 14 or older. (For more information on trial of a juvenile as an adult, submit your email here for a free brochure.) So a juvenile's rights under the Constitution, under Juvenile Law and under the criminal law are complex, and when and where each right applies is not easy to know. I've tried over a hundred cases in Juvenile Court, or cases with juvenile defendants. Don't wait. Protect yourself and your children today. Parental Rights Child Protection Services (CPS) cases involving maltreatment of children or elderly adults start in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. These are civil cases with a different standard of proof than criminal charges, though criminal charges cases. I try both kinds of cases. |
Criminal
From jaywalking to murder, I defend it all. A criminal charge is a terrifying thing. What to do now? Know your rights before you go to Court, not after. Fight to stay home, out of jail; to protect your record, to keep your joband to protect your family. But how? Remember: 1) every case is unique, no two cases are exactly alike; and, 2) "there is no enterprise a human being can engage in that is more complicated than trying a case" (The Irving Younger collection: wisdom and wit from the master of trial advocacy, By Irving Younger, Edited by: Stephen D. Easton) I have tried over 200 cases, and probation hearings or bond hearings, well, they are to numerous to count. It's important to know that a person charged with a crime is not helpless. He or she has a constitutional right to a trial. They can negotiate a plea agreement or, cooperate for leniency. And, there is always the reason why to have a trial: dismissal i.e. found not guilty. I defend all crimes, including: - Property Crimes - Sex Offenders- Crimes against Persons - Forcible Sodomy- Rape - Carnal Knowledge- Con Fraud - Embezzlement- Forgery - Uttering- Bad Checks - Burglary, robbery, grand larceny- Assault and battery - Domestic Assault & Battery- Vehicular manslaughter - Murder- Drug charges-Possession with Intent to Distribute. |
